This week is World Heart Rhythm Week 2019 – an annual campaign for raising awareness of arrhythmias. Royal Mail to Introduce Parcel Postboxes Locally

Royal Mail have informed Andrew that they will be introducing their new parcel postboxes to our area.  Andrew reports, "Parcel postboxes will enable local small businesses and markletplace sellers to post pre-paid parcels, using Click&Drop, through postboxes in the same way that we currently post letters. Commemorations for the 45th Anniversary of the Nypro Chemical Plant Explosion

A memorial service will take place at All Saints Church, Flixborough on the 1st June to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the Nypro chemical plant explosion, which took place on Saturday 1st June 1974. Improvement in Local School Results

Andrew has welcomed the news that our local schools have seen significant improvements in their results over the last few years. Commenting, Andrew said, "The below results are due to the hard work and dedication of our fantastic local teachers, support staff and pupils. Sadly, what we have suspected for the past few weeks has come to pass and British Steel has been placed into compulsory liquidation. This is by no means the end of the matter and I want to assure residents and workers that every effort is being put into finding a new buyer.
