Andrew has provided the following update on funding for the decarbonisation and energy efficiency of local hospitals.

"This comes as part of North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust (NLAG) receiving approval today for full funding from the Conservative Government for their ...

"The Government’s funding for rural roads has meant that investment in the A161 through the Isle now tops £2million.
"I understand the initial works, beginning on the 1st March, will take around five weeks, with the Cou...
Andrew has provided an update on a recent meeting he held with Severn Trent regarding Crowle drainage improvements.

I wanted to wait until the community and Josie's family had had the time to pay tribute to Josie Head in the Goole Times this week before posting this.
As many may know, Goole Mayor Josie Head passed away peacefully last weekend following her battle with cancer. Not only was Josie Mayor and a former East Riding Independent Councillor, she was also a good friend to me and someone I worked with and relied on for support over the years.
I will miss her very very much, especially the ear bashings ...

Only a few small countries such as Israel are doing better. Approaching 20% of the entire UK population have now had the vaccine, compared to less than 3% in Germany for example. Our area has been ahead of most of the rest of the country in this.
The target o...
Andrew has provided an update on the Government's new consultation on flooding insurance reform. You can read Andrew's Facebook post below.
The Government has announced proposals to reward flood-hit homes with discounted insurance premiums if they install flooding resilience measures in their homes. The proposals aim to incentivise households to implement measures such as installing flood doors or moving electrics up walls to reduce the impact of flooding.
Andrew joined Goole Councillors, Anne Handley, Nick Coultish and Barbara Jeffereys for litter picking on Tom Pudding Way in Goole earlier today.
The Councillors undertake regular litter picks and I suggested this road after seeing the appalling amount of litter down it on my daily exercise! We managed to get 9 bags of litter which were duly collected by the East Riding Council. We will be doing more picks next week.
There is perhaps a need for more bins on this stre...

We will take no lectures from the Labour party, which had 13 years in power and did absolutely nothing to invest in any meaningful way in our towns across the north of England.
I very much welcome the bids submitted by the two towns that cover my c...
