This year’s Dementia Action Week campaign started on Monday and will be running all week.
Andrew says, "The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness and understanding of dementia, and to highlight the help and support available to people living with the condition along with their family/ loved ones.
"Dementia is an umbrella term for a range of conditions which affect the brain, such as Alzheimer’s disease. The NHS website states that those who suffer from dementia may have problems with memory loss, thinking speed, mental sharpness and quickness, language, understanding, judgement, mood, movement, and difficulties carrying out daily activities."
