Rawcliffe Bridge River Crossing

Due to the safety concerns, the Council had little option but to impose the 3.5 tonnes limit, but I have continued to press for action to repair the bridge. Residents will be relieved to learn that the Council has now gone out to tender for a contractor to undertake repairs that will enable the bridge to carry vehicles of up to 44 tonnes, controlled by ...

Drax have informed me of the first capture of carbon dioxide using innovative technology at the Selby Power Station in their bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) pilot project. This is a fantastic achievement as it is the first time anywhere in the world that carbon dioxide has been captured from a 100% biomass feedstock i.e. burning wood pellets. The pilot project was commissioned in November last year following a £400,000 investment by Drax in innovative carbon capture technology ...
