Question During European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 Debate

Andrew attended the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 debate yesterday and asked the below question to the Prime Minister.  Andrew Percy (Brigg and Goole) (Con) The Prime Minister is absolutely right about honouring the referendum result. Millions of people across the north of England voted in huge numbers to leave the EU, and many of them went out and re-elected Labour MPs who stood on a solemn commitment to make good on the referendum result. Is it not the case that if any Member of Parliam...

South Ferriby Flood Works Update

South Ferriby Flood Works Update

As we move towards these much needed works progressing, a number of residents have been in touch to raise concerns about the length of the proposed road closures. I know residents very much support the improved flood defence which I have worked hard to secure funding for with the Council and EA, so these concerns are not a criticism of the works. I just wanted to let residents know that we are working closely with the Council on this who inform me that, "Works are progressing but alternative opt...

The signing is a pledge of commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day and to honouring those who were murdered during the Holocaust. Moreover, it is also a tribute to the extraordinary Holocaust survivors who continue to work tirelessly to educate young people today. Andrew says, "Holocaust Memorial Day is marked annually on 27th January, the anniversary of the liberation of the former Nazi concentrati...

The aim of the programme, which both Google and Parent Zone have collaborated on, is to teach internet safety to primary school children. It consists of five key pillars, which chil...

800 New Homes for Goole?

800 New Homes for Goole?

I thought residents would be interested in the following story about a £100 million plus investment in 800 new homes in Goole: link. Two things to remember about this though. Firstly, this would be a long-term development over 15 years or so. Secondly, before it moves forward, a full planning process will be undertaken which will involve public consultation. Clearly, some will support the town growing and the way many towns have regenerated themselves is through housing and population growth. Ot...
