As part of Andrew’s promise to work to support the local community, Andrew has worked hard to establish a Community First Responder Scheme in the constituency.
Goole, Hook and Airmyn First Responders
We have many excellent first responder schemes across the area, but following a meeting with Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Andrew realised that Goole and the surrounding villages did not have a scheme. Andrew recruited volunteers to undertake the training and is now part of an active scheme in the area.
Andrew was joined as a volunteer by Cllr Caroline Fox and staff from his Goole office. The scheme now provides cover throughout the week and on weekends, and has already responded to a large number of life threatening calls in the area.
If you would like to volunteer as a First Responder please contact Andrew’s office for more info. In the East Riding, these schemes are organised via Yorkshire Ambulance Service. In North Lincolnshire, these schemes are run via Lincolnshire Lives.
