New Burton Play Building Visit

New Burton Play Building Visit

Andrew visited Burton Play last month to see the childcare provider's newly-constructed building.

Andrew reports, "The new early years school building has been delivered following the devastating fire of last year. This is thanks to £300,000 of funding from North Lincolnshire Council, the Burton bears group and with support from the parish council.

"The new purpose-built pre-school and day care centre is on the same site at Burton upon Stather Primary School. However, the new building is larger than the previous one and will, therefore, increase capacity at Burton Play.

"As well as continuing to provide pre-school education, breakfast and after school care, I understand that the new centre will also house a dedicated baby room for the first time, meaning Burton Play will be able to welcome children from birth to Year 6.

"I was joined on this visit by councillors Ralph Ogg, Helen Rowson and Elaine Marper, and the Leader of North Lincs Council, Cllr Rob Waltham."
