Andrewq visited the Isle on Friday to welcome a grant for Owston Ferry.
Andrew explains, *"It was great to join Isle of Axholme South Councillor, David Rose, and trustees and volunteers of the Coronation Hall in Owston Ferry yesterday to see the works being undertaken on the hall thanks to a grant from North Lincs Council.
The works include the installation of a new ceiling, energy efficient lighting, repainting and new curtains etc.
All of this has been made possible thanks to a grant of over £15,000 from the Community Grant Pot the Conservatives set up when we took control of the Council more than a decade ago.
Well done to everyone involved in this project and to the dedicated volunteers at the Coronation Hall for all they do maintaining this excellent community facility. It was good to hear from them that the facility is so well used and becoming more popular!
Work is also taking place on the Parish Council room and we talked about how we might be able to help with future funding for other works too.""*
