There is still time to nominate yourself or a friend, neighbour, teacher or colleague for the UK Parliament Awards 2019.
Andrew explains, "These awards are an opportunity to acknowledge those in our area who improve our communities and make a difference in our area by connecting people with democracy or Parliament. This could be through organising an event during UK Parliament Week, or getting people involved with democracy in the local community."
The award categories are as follows:
- Community Campaigner of the Year
- UK Parliament Week Partner of the Year
- UK Parliament Week Activity of the Year
- Teacher of the YearÂ
- Digital Campaigner of the Year
- Speaker’s School Action Award
- Volunteer of the Year
Applications close on Sunday 3 February 2019 and the awards will be presented in Parliament on 12 March 2019.
