I thought residents would be interested in the following story about a £100 million plus investment in 800 new homes in Goole: link.
Two things to remember about this though. Firstly, this would be a long-term development over 15 years or so. Secondly, before it moves forward, a full planning process will be undertaken which will involve public consultation.
Clearly, some will support the town growing and the way many towns have regenerated themselves is through housing and population growth. Others will be concerned about the infrastructure and flooding concerns etc. The developers plan to build a new school too and I have asked to meet them so that I can discuss the proposals in more detail.
As I say though, big caveat, it is still at a reasonably early stage and as soon as I know more I will share it.
