SatelLife Competition for Young People - Win a Share of £50,000

The Government's SatelLife Competition for young people is once again open to applications.

The competition is run by the UK Space Agency and is now in its fourth year. It encourages young people to present their ideas on how satellites could improve life on Earth.

The competition aims to look for proposals that have the potential to use data collected from space to grow new businesses, improve health services or tackle climate change, with the opportunity to win a share of £50,000.

Andrew adds, "The UK's space industry supports 42,000 jobs and is one of the fastest growing sectors of the UK economy. This is, therefore, a fantastic opportunity for any young people in our area who have an interest in STEM, with the potential to win funding, patent advice, job opportunities and introductions to experts."

The competition is split into three age categories: 11 to 14, 15 to 18, and 19 to 22. The deadline for applications is 3 March 2020.
