Andrew recently joined councilors Ralph, Elaine and Helen for a visit to the Winterton Bowls Club for the handover of £20,000.
Andrew reports, "Popped down to Winterton Bowls Club on Friday to formally hand over £20,000 from the North Lincs Community Pot which is going towards a new pavilion and club house. The total project is £120k. I was joined by local councillors Ralph Ogg, Elaine Marper and Helen Rowsen
"We set this fund up when we took control of the Council in 2011 so that we could better support the large number of volunteer sporting & leisure clubs that we have locally. These clubs provide a place for people to come together and to enjoy our local communities.
"I also was not alone in been hit by the terrible smells from the landfill site whilst in Winterton and passing through Thealby. Myself and the local Councillors have reported this to the operator and also to the Environment Agency and will continue to chase. The smell is a completely unacceptable must be dealt with."
