E.ON are inviting charities and community groups to apply for up to £2,000 of funding for energy-related improvements and activities. The Energising Communities Fund aims to support community groups and charities who strive to be more sustainable but lack the funding to take their plans forward. The deadline for applications is the 29th January 2018.
To be eligible for funding, an application request must support activities that:
- help bring about a reduction in their own energy use
- help generate energy from a renewable source
- or provide energy efficiency advice for local people
Andrew adds, "I encourage any local charities or community groups in our area who fit the above criteria, to submit a funding request as soon as possible. This funding will not only benefit the charities and groups themselves, but also the wider communities they serve."
