Andrew is continuing to work closely with Network Rail to secure the necessary improvements to Goole’s subways, following previous problems with flooding there. Following Andrew’s campaign, Network Rail agreed to invest £40,000 into the subway drainage system in Goole; with a two-phase plan to address flooding concerns. This first phase involved interim works to improve the drainage system and a design has been agreed for this. Andrew visited the Lavington Wood Pellet biomass plant in British Columbia, Canada recently to speak to workers and see the operation which provides the wood pellets for Drax power station.
