Today is World Ovarian Cancer Day. The goal of this campaign is to spread awareness of ovarian cancer and its symptoms throughout the UK.
Andrew says, "A woman dies every 2 hours from the disease in the UK. Early diagnoses are key to improving survival rates; however, 82% of UK women are not able to name the main symptoms of ovarian cancer."
The NHS website outlines the following most common symptoms of ovarian cancer:
• feeling constantly bloated
• a swollen tummy
• discomfort in your tummy or pelvic area
• feeling full quickly when eating, or loss of appetite
• needing to pee more often or more urgently than normal
