Andrew has welcomed news that Transport for London Commissioner, Mike Brown, and Siemens Mobility CEO are at Goole Academy today to unveil their apprentice program.
Andrew explains, "As residents will know I have been very clear that we want local people to benefit from the new train factory at Goole. That's why it is great to have this visit to the school today with Siemens announcing that their first 12 apprentices will start in September 2020 .
"The train factory will be building trains for the London underground meaning that we will benefit from that investment locally! It is great to have this apprenticeship program announced and I will be continuing to work with Siemens to ensure that local people are first in line for the hundreds of jobs that will be created here."
