Andrew has been informed that Severn Trent Water will shortly be undertaking emergency works following a sewer collapse off Doncaster Road. Their investigation work has shown the sewer under Doncaster Road to be in poor condition and in urgent need of replacement.
Their work will start on Tuesday 23rd April 2019 and will involve replacing the length of the sewer where it crosses under Doncaster Road. During these repairs, Severn Trent will need to close the A18 Doncaster Road between Hilton Avenue and Scotter Road. They expect the road will be closed for 4 weeks, with diversion routes being clearly signed to help traffic movements through the area.
Andrew says, "I have already made representations to the Leader of North Lincolnshire Council and Severn Trent, and sought assurances that the council and Severn Trent will work together to keep disruption to residents and businesses to a minimum.
