Scrubs and Books Delivered to Hospital

Andrew has once again been delivering NHS scrubs that have been sewed by the Marshland Sewing Brigade.

Andrew reports, "The Marshland Sewing Brigade have had another incredibly busy week sewing more scrubs for our local hospital trust. I promise they aren't all locked in some sort of basement sweat shop, they are just really dedicated and are turning out scrubs at quite the rate.

"As their delivery driver I was dispatched this morning to deliver them to Scunthorpe Hospital for use across the Trust. I also had a delivery of childrens books which had kindly been donated to the Two Rivers Food Bank by Morrisons. What better place for them than the Disney Ward at Scunthorpe hospital.

"Was really lovely to be welcomed to the hospital by Scunthorpe MP, Holly Mumby-Croft, who wanted to drop a special thank you card to the sewing ladies (it is all ladies at the moment!) for their efforts.

"The hospital scrubs are so appreciated because althouth the hospital has never ran out of scrubs, they like to have lots in circulation and the quality and care with which these scrubs are sown is really appreciated.

"Better still, the sewing brigade have been able to do put together scrubs in a range of more difficult to cater for sizes or more personalised sizes than those provided as standard.

"What an amazing job this Brigade are do as another 70 were dropped to do. I do really promise there is not some secret sweat shop on the Marshlands! Honest ..."
