Andrew is delighted that the Royal Mail have confirmed that they will be refurbishing all of the postboxes in the DN14 postcode area after raising resident concerns with them.
Andrew has worked closely with local residents to help tidy up many local areas and complaints about the condition of postboxes were a regular theme.
Andrew says, "This is really good news and I'm pleased that the Royal Mail will be undertaking a programme to refurbish these postboxes throughout the area. I've noticed many postboxes looking in need of some maintenance and I've received a lot of complaints from local residents about them, including in Old Goole where I recently organised a site visit with East Riding Council following complaints about the appearance of certain areas in the town.
"Most people take pride in the appearance of their local area and I have been supporting residents to help improve local areas with things like organising litter collections and getting weeds sprayed. I've asked the Royal Mail to let me know when they will start this programme."
