New Winterton Children’s Centre

Andrew is delighted that £30,000 of funding has been secured for a new Children's Centre in Winterton.

The new facility will be located in the library building, once work is completed on the new library and gym building set to be located at the Winterton Rangers site. The new provision will continue to work closely with both the infant and junior schools that are also located on West Street in the town. Work on the centre will start in August with a formal opening due in the autumn.

Andrew comments, “The current site has worked well but it is fairly limited in space. This new location should provide expanded facilities, whilst retaining close working with schools, and will benefit local families.”

Cllr Elaine Marper adds, “At a time when many local authorities are closing children's centres, we in North Lincolnshire are opening new ones. Helen, Ralph and I have campaigned hard to secure a more permanent venue for the Children's Centre and to secure the extra funding to make the adaptations to deliver the new facility.”
