Andrew has provided an update regarding some overnight closures that National Highways are having to implement in order to carry out some essential works on the Ouse Bridge.
Andrew explained on his Facebook page, “The first of these closures is tomorrow (Saturday) night between J36 and J37 of the Eastbound carriageway, commencing from 10:00pm and reopening before 6:00am on Sunday morning. They have explained that maintenance work on bridging plates will be undertaken during this closure.
“I am informed that further overnight closures are planned for the week commencing 25th September on both the East and Westbound carriageways to remove communication cables that currently run in a duct beam in the central reservation. The exact details, including number of nights, is yet to be determined and is subject to what their investigation works establish.
“I will provide more information about these closures as soon as I receive it.”
