M62 and Junction 37 Update

Andrew has received a further update from National Highways following the reopening of the additional lane and Junction 37 eastbound exit slip this morning.

Andrew reports, "They have confirmed that short term overnight closures of lane one of the eastbound carriageway will be in place tonight (Thursday), Friday and Saturday, from 11pm. As explained in my last post, these are so they can carry out inspections and re-torquing of the bridge plates. The closures will be in place for between two to four hours each night. The exit slip road at Junction 37 will also be closed during this time.

"Looking ahead, National Highways have confirmed that every Saturday night there will be similar closures in place until contractors are satisfied that the plates are firmly settled. These closures will also be from 11pm, lasting two to four hours.

"With regards to Boothferry Bridge, I am awaiting clarification regarding the planned closure, however I am assured that the Council are liaising with National Highways. As soon as they have the closure approved, I am informed that notices will be erected on site to inform motorists and bridge users in advance"
