Junction 37 M62 Re-Opening!

Andrew has provided a further update on the M62.

Andrew reports on Facebook:

I hesitate to post a further update on this given this is not an issue I have any control over (indeed only half the bridge is in my patch) and some people keep shooting the messenger but here goes ...
We chased for a further update from National Highways and have received the following update residents may be interested in -

"Apologies for the delay in responding but I just needed to be sure of the progress of the works against the target date.
Unfortunately we will have to delay the opening of the additional lane on the eastbound carriageway to Thursday night 7 July. We have had to undertake additional works to ensure the bridge plates are bedded level and this has delayed applying the fixings which require 24 hours for the resin to cure.
The final fixings will not be installed until tomorrow and hence the need to delay the opening.
I appreciate this has taken a little longer than originally anticipated and it is not news that any of us wanted to hear, but we do need to ensure the works are fully complete and safe for the plates to be trafficked.
As soon as I have the necessary confirmation, I will notify you accordingly with regards to the details for Thursday."
