Imagination Library Meeting

Andrew recently met with the Imagination Library in Westminster to discuss continued progress with both of the local schemes, as well as new schemes and further growth nationally.

Andrew, who launched the Imagination Library locally, is a strong advocate of the scheme and chairs both local schemes in our area - North Lincolnshire Imagination Library and the Goole & Snaith Imagination Library.

Andrew says, "The Imagination Library is one of those programmes that can make such a difference and I'm thrilled with progress locally. Through providing a free, age appropriate book each month; alongside tremendous efforts by Children's Centres, staff and volunteers across the area, we are already seeing an improvement in children's literacy.

"North Lincolnshire Imagination Library is being hailed as a national example of excellence and will be a key focus at next month's Imagination Library conference in Nottingham.

"It would be great to get even more areas signed up and I'm working with the Imagination Library on this locally. Whilst North Lincolnshire Council supports and funds the North Lincolnshire Imagination Library, many of the schemes nationally are smaller and run by individuals or groups. The Goole & Snaith Imagination Library is run through my office and we fundraise locally for this.

"If you're interested in supporting the scheme, or would like any further information, then please don't hesitate to get in touch."
