Andrew has provided a further update on flood defence works locally, this time in relation to Hook.
Andrew explained on Facebook: "The final local update from my catch up with the Environment Agency last week relates to repairs to the defence bank in Hook.
"Works will be undertaken next Spring, following damage from the high tides and wet weather in Jan 2021. The works can't take place until then due to the needs of the nearby SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).
"The works will include the topping up of some low spots as per the map attached. This is funded by the Government recovery fund of £3 million which we received for repair works in our area following the high tides of early 2021.
"The EA will provide exact details for residents nearer the commencement of the works.
"As ever, I will continue to keep residents updated on these works and all the other works taking place locally. "
