Andrew met with Network Rail recently to discuss plans for installing new drainage systems in the subways at Goole.
Andrew reports, “As explained in previous posts, the plan is to install two separate systems with a pumping station for each subway and hopefully this will be the end of the drainage problems we have experienced here for so many years!
“At the meeting, Network Rail presented the finalised designs, which are scheduled to be signed off in January. Construction should then start later in 2024.
“The aim is to also time these drainage upgrades to coincide with the Town Deal funding we have to improve the street scene around Goole station, so the projects complement one another.
“I will be meeting again with Network Rail in the new year, and I will be sure to provide further updates to keep residents informed on these improvements.”
