Goole and Snaith Under 5s Free Book Scheme Expansion

Andrew is very pleased to announce the expansion of the Goole and Snaith Imagination Library free booking gifting scheme.

Andrew explained on his Facebook page, "I set this scheme up locally a few years ago which is the local branch of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

"Children from birth to 5 receive a free book in the post every month with the aim of improving their pre-school literacy rates and growing a love of reading.

"We have always had to carefully manage numbers as I fund or raise the funding for the scheme myself. However, thanks to a very generous donation from Siemens of £5,000 we are now able to expand the scheme and open it up for more applications.

"Siemens raised this funding at their recent charity day and picked us as one of a number of their charities to receive support. I can't thank them enough for once again proving their commitment to Goole and the surrounding area. Thanks to Council Leader and Goole North and Hook Cllr, Anne Handley, for collecting the massive cheque on my behalf.

"The scheme is available to anyone living in the part of the East Riding I represent (Goole North & Hook Ward, Goole South and Old Goole Ward and the Snaith, Airmyn, Rawcliffe and Marshlands Ward). Basically anything in the East Riding our side of the River Ouse!

"If you want to sign your child up please email me directly or follow this link - https://imaginationlibrary.com/uk/affiliate/GOOLESNAITH/

"Thanks to this funding we can now add more children but we of course still have to manage numbers to ensure long term sustainability but we can certainly add more now! So sign up asap.

"For those living in North Lincs, every child is eligible thanks to our local pledge to introduce it over a decade ago."
