Andrew has provided an update on East Riding Council's ongoing compost giveaway.
Andrew reports, "I am informed that East Riding Council’s free compost giveaway is returning this month, with Goole’s event taking place on Tuesday 13 September, 4pm – Goole, West Park, DN14 6UU.
"The compost bags are made up of the various items households recycle in their brown bins every year, including: grass cuttings, hedge trimmings, small branches, leaves, flowers and weeds, all cooked and uncooked food, peelings, plate scrapings, bones, bread, meat, eggshells and small amounts of soups, sauces and gravies.
"As with previous giveaways, residents are asked not to queue at the venues beforehand or they may be turned away for safety reasons."
