Andrew is encouraging local pubs to enter this year’s Community Pub Hero Awards.
Andrew explains, "The aim of this competition, which is run by PubAid and the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group, is to celebrate pubs that go the extra mile to support their local communities and raise money for charity."
There are separate awards for this year’s competition:
- Community Regular Hero: recognising an individual or group of customers who help the pub’s fundraising efforts or its work to support the community.
- Community Support Pub Hero: recognising licensees who help their communities.
- Charity Fundraising Pub Hero: recognising pubs who support charities and other good causes through fundraising.
Entering your pub is free of charge but must be done by the deadline of 31 October.
