Andrew Delivers Food Parcels from the Two Rivers Food Bank

Last weekend, Andrew delivered some food parcels to vulnerable residents in the Goole area.

Andrew provided the following update on Facebook, "Spent some time this morning dropping food parcels to some of our older residents in the Goole area.

"The food is from the Two Rivers Food Bank which we are proud to have helped establish recently and for which I recently secured a £1000 donation. We have given some food parcels to help support our older residents in remaining at home. The food bank is available to those in need of any age and you can find out more at www.two-rivers.org.uk

"Thanks to Morissons for the food today and also to one of the local scout groups who donated their Easter Eggs which they were unable to hand out to their scouts due to Covid-19.

"Residents loved receiving them. We delivered a lot on VE Day but missed some we intended to do on these streets as we ran out. As such, Goole North and Hook Ward Councillor, Anne Handley, and I made a trip back to finish off today. Was especially nice to deliver to a World Ward 2 veteran!

"We have more deliveries planned this week thanks to the on-going support of Tesco, Morrisons and East Riding Council."
