Crowle Peatland Railway - Funding Secured for New Tram

Further to Andrew’s recent post on the Crowle Peatland Railway project, we are pleased to report that £11,392 has been raised for the Railway to purchase a Lisbon tram.   Andrew reports, “The funding was secured by my Community Support Officer Julie Reed with cash from the SSE Keadby Windfarm. Earlier this week, Andrew met with KCOM for an update on the company's multi-million pound roll-out of ultrafast gigabit broadband to the town. Further to Andrew's recent information regarding Scam Awareness Fortnight, he has been informed of further scams that are using the Covid-19 outbreak to target vulnerable people.   Andrew says, "As I have mentioned previously, 2 in 5 people in the Yorkshire and Humber area have been targeted by a scam since lockdown began, with the most vulnerable people sadly being most-often targeted."
