Wrawby Flashing Speed Signs

Andrew recently joined Brigg and Wolds Ward Councillors, Nigel and Carl Sherwood and Rob Waltham, to meet with the Chair and Vice Chair of Wrawby Parish Council to celebrate funding for new flashing speed signs in Wrawby.

Andrew reports, “Whilst speeding enforcement is a matter for the police, myself and the local Councillors try to do our part in improving road safety. Conservative-run North Lincs Council has now granted £3000 to the Parish Council for the purchase and installation of two new flashing speed signs at both ends of the village.

“North Lincs Council monitoring found an average of 396 vehicles per day breaking the speed limit in September 2020 and 488 in July of 2021. Whilst the speed signs won't stop all the speeding, the hope of course is that the flashing signs at least help, especially with those drivers who have perhaps not fully taken notice of the speed limit change.”
