Andrew is encouraging local young people to apply for the UK Youth Parliament scheme.
Andrew reports, "I understand that young people, aged 11-18 years, can once again apply to represent their local area and take part in the UK Youth Parliament scheme, with the next elections due to take place next year.
"This is a great opportunity to develop skills such as public speaking, debating, leadership, organisation, teamwork and more."
Young people in the East Riding can find out more and apply here: https://www.eastriding.gov.uk/council/councillors-and-members-of-parliament/youth-parliament/
