Andrew joined local councillors for a visit to Thealby Play Area last Friday to formally present the Thealby Play Area Association with a £11,400 grant for equipment.
Andrew reports, “I dropped by Thealby last week to meet with the Thealby Play Area Association for the formal handover of an £11,400 grant for new play area equipment from the North Lincs Community Grant Pot. This was the pot of money we established at the Council when we took control of it in 2011.
“I was joined by Council Leader, Rob Waltham and the Ward Councillors, Helen Rowson, Elaine Marper and Ralph Ogg. I am so proud of the work we have done with the community to transform playing fields and play areas locally. On the way to Thealby, I passed by the Flixborough Play Area which has also been transformed thanks to funding from this pot.
“As a local team, we have always wanted to support those volunteer groups, such as Thealby Play Area Association, who give of their time freely to run community facilities such as this. It is our pleasure to be able to help with their funding bids and I thank them for the work they do.”
