Andrew said, "What better thing to do on a Bank Holiday (other than a pint or two) than to go for a nice walk!
"This new walking route is one myself and local Councillors, Elaine Marper, Ralph Ogg and Helen Rowson have supported and we've also helped secure funding for parts of it such as the path from Burton to Thealby in previous years. Hopefully the route can be made even better in the future with more permissions secured.
"Providing more opportunities for leisure and access to countryside walking routes has been one of our main local promises which is why we have funded schemes such as the River Ancholme Trail, Isle of Axholme Greenway etc etc. Residents on the Isle will be aware of the latest phase of the Greenway with the new route from Belton along the A161."
