Andrew has provided a further update on the recent flooding. You can see the video Andrew is referring to on his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/andrewpercyofficial
Andrew reports, "Quite a lot of activity as the video I took earlier will show. The helicopter is going to be operating throughout the day to put the temporary dam in place to stem the flow of water. So far about 30 bags of sand have been dropped in, which will be followed by bags of stone which is due to arrive shortly.
"Barges are in place too with clay which will be used later to back fill the breach I am told.
"Work is also progressing well on the temporary road to gain access to the breach for vehicles and materials. This of course will be needed for the permanent repairs that will take place next year, but may be of use now too.
"So all in all, good progress but more to be done yet. It looks as though the flow of water out of the breach is starting to slow but it will take a little more work yet to be sure."
