Andrew is encouraging local children to take advantage of Google and Parent Zone's fun online resources which teach internet safety.
Andrew reports, "Residents may remember I previously mentioned my work with Google and Parent Zone to promote their “Be Internet Legends" programme, which teaches internet safety to primary school children, including in schools in our area.
"Google and Parent Zone have informed me that, as the summer holidays start, they would like to take this opportunity to encourage children to keep up their learning and be “Summer Legends'' - encouraging children to stay safer online this summer.
"The “Be Internet Legends" programme covers five main aspects of internet awareness that support a child’s media literacy: staying Sharp about what you’re sharing online, being Alert to scams, using tools to keep your devices Secure, being Kind with others online, and being Brave by talking to trusted adults about problems."
