Andrew joined Holly Mumby-Croft MP and Cllr Rob Waltham on Friday to meet with Wren staff at the site of a new 1 million square feet facility for this local company at Normanby Enterprise Park, Scunthorpe.
Andrew added, "The company will be creating a new facility on this 15 acre site allowing them to create many new jobs and expand their manufacturing locally.
"The site was opened up thanks to a £1 million grant from the Conservative government's Local Growth Fund and £300k from North Lincs Conservative-run Council. Both funds are designed to help levelling-up and support business development and job creation.
"The funding provided the link road to the site and following a competitive process, Wren have purchased the site.
"The last time I was at the site was to celebrate the funding we had secured from the government which was on a cold December day if memory serves! It wasn't much warmer yesterday. Next time hopefully it will be to mark the start of construction on a warmer day all being well!"
