Andrew has provided the following update regarding a new food bank set up for the Goole, Snaith and Marshlands area.
Andrew reports, "Myself and local Councillors have been actively involved in supporting and volunteering within this new food bank set up in the light of Covid-19 for the Goole, Snaith and Marshlands area.
"Alongside Cllr Anne Handley, Caroline Fox and Liz Sargeantson and other volunteers we have delivered scores of food parcels to local residents already. I really enjoyed delivering VE Day food parcels to some of our elderly in Goole last Friday.
"If you need help or know of anyone needing help please do get in contact as this new food bank is here to help.
"A special shout out must go to Cllr Anne Handley who has been doing a lot of liasing with the local supermarkets supporting the food bank, including trips through to Hull to collect food!
"Thanks also to the SCR Volunteer Support Group who have set this up. We have been happy to support from day one and will remain involved."
