M62 Ouse Bridge - Update

Andrew has received an update from National Highways on the ongoing Ouse Bridge works.

National Highways have reported: “since our last update, we have successfully established further bridging plates in lane 3 [right-hand lane] of the eastbound carriageway where traffic is currently running and undertaken further surfacing on the bridge deck and the crossover areas. The establishment of these further plates will enable us, once we commence the joint replacement works, to undertake the joint works whilst maintaining traffic during the day.

“We have now commenced preparation works on the drainage channels on the eastbound carriageway and are preparing the site underneath the bridge for the compound area.

"We are commencing the works in preparation for the scaffold erection underneath the joints week commencing 23 January, and we are hoping to complete the scaffold late February/early March when we will be commencing works on removing the old joints on the eastbound carriageway together with the concrete repair works.”

Andrew adds, “I have kept in close contact with the agency and have asked for further updates as the work progresses. I will be sure to keep residents up to date.”
