Andrew has provided the following update on Less Survivable Cancers Awareness Day
Andrew reports on Facebook: "Today is Less Survivable Cancers Awareness Day, which aims to raise the profile of the 6 less survivable cancers, to raise awareness of symptoms, and to highlight the critical importance of early diagnosis in improving survival.
"The 6 less survivable cancers are: cancers of the lung, pancreas, liver, brain, oesophagus and stomach. Over 90,000 people are diagnosed with one of these cancers every year in the UK and they account for almost half of all common cancer deaths.
"As less survivable cancers are difficult to diagnose, with vague or non-specific symptoms, the goal of this campaign is to raise awareness of these cancers and their symptoms with the public.
