Member of Parliament for Brigg & Goole and the Isle of Axholme

Housing Proposal, Vicarage Fields, Scawby Road, Broughton

Broughton residents should shortly be receiving a letter from me regarding a recent consultation opened by DDM Agriculture on their emerging plans for up to 79 swellings on the site above. They are presently in the stages of developing an outline planning application and have opened a consultation on the proposal.

This consultation can be viewed online at - https://ddmagriculture.co.uk/planning-consultations/vicarage-fields-scawby-road-broughton

As residents may remember, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the by-election to elect new Councillors for the Broughton Ward has not yet taken place, meaning there are presently no Councillors for the area. I am therefore taking up Council issues for local residents, and although as our MP I have no formal role in planning matters, it is important that I know what local residents think about these proposals so that I can ensure your voices are heard. I would therefore appreciate it if you could fill out the short survey included in my letter and return it to me in the FREEPOST envelope included. Alternatively, you can complete the survey online here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfcuaCU3AWHnKvFYTtoOS2YwCfBOjgFq_ZJc2fJIoja9oCtsA/viewform

As no formal planning application has yet to be submitted, these are only informal consultations and I can assure residents that I will ensure that you are kept fully informed on this matter. I very much hope you will complete the survey so that I can assure your views are represented. Please also feel free to raise any other local issue or concern you might have in the additional comments box in the survey.
