Andrew joined Cllr John Briggs and Cllr Julie Reed last Friday for a visit to the Garthorpe Play Area to see the new play equipment and gym.
Andrew said, “I enjoyed meeting residents in Garthorpe last week to look at the new play equipment and outdoor gym that we have helped to secure funding for.
“In total, £50k was secured from the play area improvement fund which the local Conservatives established at North Lincolnshire Council a couple of years ago, along with £25k secured from the SSE Wind Farm Fund which my office helped prepare the application for. This is a service I offer to many voluntary groups locally and so far we have secured hundreds of thousands of pounds for local projects.
“The equipment is great and it was also great to meet the Parish Councillors and volunteers who take care of the equipment and who have driven the project forward. It was also an opportunity to thank them for their work.”
