Andrew has been informed that the illustrator of the popular book The Gruffalo, Axel Scheffler, has created a new digital book: ‘Coronavirus : a book for children’.
Andrew explains, "The book answers questions regarding the coronavirus for children between the ages of five and nine year old. These questions include: what is the coronavirus, how do you catch the coronavirus, what can I do to help, and much more.
"I understand that Professor Graham Medley of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine acted as a consultant for the book, along with two head teachers and a child psychologist.
"I’m pleased to say the book is free to read online: https://nosycrow.com/blog/released-today-free-information-book-explaining-coronavirus-children-illustrated-gruffalo-illustrator-axel-scheffler
"Although the book is available for free, families might wish to make a donation to help the NHS if they find the book useful: www.nhscharitiestogether.co.uk
"In addition, Dolly Parton’s next Imagination Library reading is available to enjoy online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqqEG6mMuqw.
