Andrew recently joined Isle of Axholme North Councillors, John Briggs and Julie Reed, Council officers and local librarians for the formal opening of the Crowle Community Hub.
Andrew explains, "The new Hub is in the Market Hall which John, Julie and I helped to save for the community a few years back. The Hub is now home to the recently relocated library and the new outreach Post Office services which are operating on a Monday and Wednesday.
"The library looks great in the new location and the librarians I spoke with told me they love the new location and set up as it allows for more reading and break out spaces than the old location.
Upstairs in the Hub is a fab community space which has been utilised as community space for some time. This of course included the Community Cinema which your local Conservative team also helped secure the funding for. The volunteers running this do a great job and it is such a shame that Covid-19 has forced the temporary closure of the cinema.
"Thanks to everyone involved in this project which is all part of our plan to regenerate Crowle. The fact we have been able to save a heritage building and put it back to use for the community is something John, Julie and I are really proud of. "
Post Office opening times: every Monday and Wednesday between 9.30 – 11.30am.
