Andrew posted an update on his recent visit to the Isle to discuss local issues with Councillor Tim Mitchell and to also welcome the new bike donation initiative at Normanby Golf Club.
Andree reports, "I had a good site visit with Ongo, the Council Leader and Isle of Axholme Central Ward Councillor, Tim Mitchell, recently where we looked at a number of issues relating to the Ashtree Close area of Belton. Our visit took in everything from pot holes to fly-tipping and some anti-social behaviour issues. A number of actions were agreed which Tim and I will be following up on.
"I also popped to Normanby Golf Club who are now acting as a bike donation drop-off point for anyone wanting to donate an old or unwanted bike.
"The bikes are taken by local charity R-evolution for their Bike Project. This provides training opportunities to ex-offenders, those with mental health problems and others who then help refurbish the bikes for recycling back into the community.
