Belton Play Equipment Upgrade

Andrew visited Belton on Friday to see the upgraded play equipment and also to visit the bowling club.

Andrew reports, "It was good to be back on the Isle again on Friday for a visit to see the work currently underway to upgrade the play equipment in Belton.

"This is another project I supported via my 'Bid Writing Service', this time helping secure £40k of funding for the project from the North Lincs Community Fund.

"Local Councillors, Tim Mitchell and Dave Robinson, joined me on site alongside members of the Belton Playing Fields Association, to look at the work. New equipment is being installed for both younger and older children. Credit to the Playing Fields Association for all their work on this project which they have led and raised £15k towards.

"It was also great to see the finished Bowling Club pavilion which I visited at the start of the year. This is another project funded in part by the North Lincs Community pot which the local Conservatives set up at the Council on 2011 to support community projects. Funding alone though isn't enough, it requires dedicated volunteers too. An example of that is the Bowls Club who did lots of the work themselves on the building to bring the project costs down. We have such great volunteers locally and they can all be so proud of what they have done.

"Once again, we are making good on our local election pledge to improve leisure facilities across North Lincs."
