Andrew has welcomed investment of £141,000 to create a new play area in Silver Street, Barnetby le Wold, which includes a playground, skate park and multi-use games area (MUGA).
Conservative-run North Lincolnshire Council have joined forces with Barnetby Parish Council to deliver this project, with North Lincolnshire Council contributing £100,000 from the Community Grant Scheme and the Parish Council investing the rest.
Andrew says, “I am delighted that through working with North Lincolnshire Council and Barnetby Parish Council, we have been able to provide these new facilities here.
“These play areas are important in promoting fitness which is why we set up a £1.3 million funding pot at the Council to help fund schemes like this across North Lincolnshire. This is all part of our commitment to improve leisure facilities and to support local communities.”
