Andrew has provided the following update following the East Riding and North Lincolnshire being placed in Tier 3:
New Tier Restrictions
As I suggested in my post yesterday our area is being placed in the highest level of restrictions from next Wednesday, following the ending of the national lockdown. This will be reviewed after 2 weeks.
What does this mean?
In short this is my understanding of Tier 3 for us -
- Gyms, swimming pools, golf clubs and leisure centres can reope...

Andrew provided the following update after he raised a question at PMQs today on the issue of pubs and the Covid tier system.
Andrew said, "Earlier today, I had the opportunity to ask a question to the Prime Minister regarding restrictions on pubs in Tier 2 areas.

Andrew has provided the following update on the recent Snaith housing proposals.
The East Riding Council Planning Committee yesterday unanimously rejected the proposal by Gladman Homes for 300 houses on land coming off Butt Lane, Snaith.
As residents will know from my recent update letter, we also have two applications in by Bellway Homes for development next to the Punton Walk development. Some of this is on land allocated for housing and I will continue to update residents as a decisio...
As we pause this Armistice Day and remember 100 years since the dedication of the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey, I wanted to share the story of one local World War One soldier whose story I was recently alerted to.
Swinefleet lad, John Duesbery, served with the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters. He died on 15th September 1916 during the Battle of the Somme. In a heartbreaking find after his death, his notebook was found containing a letter he had written to his mother wh...
Lest we forget
An honour to attend the Brigg Remembrance Service this morning. Sad that this year wasn't as normal due to Covid restrictions but well done to the Town Council for doing their best in difficult circumstances.
Last night and over the weekend I have also laid wreaths at some of the other memorials across our area, including Crowle, Epworth, Broughton, Winterton and Pollington. Thanks to those laying on my behalf in other places today such as Goole.
Today is a reminder to u...

I am pleased to report that Normanby Hall Country Park will be open from Tuesday next week.
