New PCSO for the Isle

A further new police community support officer has been employed on the Isle, following funding received from North Lincolnshire Council.  The new PCSO, Michelle Thorley, will be located in Epworth and will serve the whole of the Isle of Axholme. Andrew has welcomed an announcement by NHS England of a funding boost for the East Riding of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). Andrew has welcomed news that pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds in the Brigg & Goole constituency have been allocated £2.7 million for 2014/15 to help them achieve their full potential. Andrew last week met with Yorkshire Ambulance Service Chief Executive, David Whiting, to discuss the proposed changes to the Ambulance Service for this area.   Andrew received information on the increase in provision for Goole during the day, showing that next year there will be three ambulances and one Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) for Goole. Andrew is celebrating after the Chancellor, George Osborne MP, announced another freeze in fuel duty. Andrew has been part of the ‘Fair Fuel’ campaign calling for help for motorists.
